Mandy Scotney

Mandy Scotney is a former CEO who ran startups and steered acquisitions across travel and recruitment — and now she does stand-up comedy. She's also a PhD candidate at Western Sydney University researching mental health, a yoga and mindfulness teacher, and by her own description, one of Sydney's "oldest emerging comedians."

Proudly "a woman of a certain age," Mandy does the kind of comedy that feels like catching up with a friend who's been through it and come out funnier for it. Honest storytelling, sharp wit, and decades of boardroom battles and wellness wisdom all show up in her sets. Her debut solo show "Married for Six Weeks" was shortlisted for Best in Comedy at the Sydney Comedy Fringe, and in 2023 she was a state finalist in RAW Comedy. Not bad. These days she's a regular at some of Sydney's best rooms — none more fitting than Kookaburra's Comedy at the iconic Lord Nelson Hotel, where she's built a loyal following one night at a time.

Offstage, Mandy works as a keynote speaker, MC, and corporate facilitator — bringing her research and her comedy into the same room, which turns out to be a pretty effective combination. Head to mandyscotney.com to see what she's got coming up next.
