Annie Boyle: NIDA Craft, Deadpan Precision, Sydney Stand-Up

From Henty, NSW, a town where cows genuinely outnumber comedy clubs, Annie Boyle somehow charted a course through NIDA and landed squarely in the middle of Sydney's stand-up scene. Correct decision. A founding member of the Take 3 Comedy Troupe, she brings theatrical craft to stand-up that most performers take years longer to develop: deadpan delivery, sharp one-liners, and character work that feels lived-in rather than performed. The kind of comedian who makes you wonder how she isn't already on a billboard.
Her 2024 one-woman show "Annie Are You OK?" covered grief, love, a nightclub disaster, a cow named Madonna, and Delta Goodrem, sometimes in the same breath, and took that whole glorious mess to Edinburgh Fringe. She followed it with "Smooth Criminal" in 2025, has "To All The Boys I've Loved Before" locked in for Sydney Comedy Festival 2026, and also appeared in Season 2 of Colin From Accounts, because apparently sleeping is optional. Just as precise on screen as she is on stage.
A RAW Comedy NSW State Finalist, Melbourne International Comedy Festival Comedy Zone alumni, and Sydney Comedy Festival Gala performer, she's been quietly stacking the kind of credits that make other comedians nervous. Come see her now, before the rest of the world catches up.
